State Pool Rescue Champs this past weekend.

On day 2 of the 3 day meet I was seriously questioning my why and considering I have to do this 2 more times over the next 6 weeks.

The level of discomfort was epic, but I have a personal quote I tell others i work with “discomfort is where we make our biggest gains”.

I had to lean on my support team which reminded me “what do you tell your athletes in situations like his?”

Someone said you know what to do you’ve done it before. I said well not really that was 30years ago with a different body and a different mind. It’s a new experience and learning curve as a Masters athlete.

However walking the talk is challenging, but it is why I am doing the is.

Now I’m on the otherside of the weekend reflecting and relaxing, I am happy with how my body and mind performed, recovered and I even learnt more about myself.

Some highlights of the weekend
* Watching @throughtajsglasses and @fletcherluscombe break the World Record in the Line throw. Amazing
* Partnering with @di.wallaceward in the Line Throw breaking an Aussie record but didn’t count as we were a composite team.
* 4 PB’s

And none of this was possible without all the officials, team managers and volunteers that make these meets run smoothly. It’s truly inspiring to see everyone come together for the love of the sport, contribute, work together and support each other. Very grateful🙏🙏

And thank you to all who have and are supporting me on this journey.

Next stop National Champs on the Gold Coast.
